Making Juice with Pineapple

According to the Dole fruit company, pineapple juice has several health benefits in addition to being a tasty drink. Pineapple juice helps sooth stomach discomfort and nausea and can relieve a dry mouth. It can also be added to marinades or mixed in with other juices to create a fruity cocktail. If you have a blender or a fruit juicer, all you need is a little water and fresh pineapple to make your own pineapple juice at home.

Instruction

Step 01
Cut the top and bottom of the pineapple off, exposing the edible flesh. Carefully slice away the spiny skin of the pineapple.
Step 02
Cut the edible yellow pineapple flesh into cubes.
Step 03
Place the freshly cut pineapple into a juicer or blender. Add water to loosen the mixture. The more water you add, the more "juice-like" the beverage. Use less water if you want a thicker drink. According to iFood, you can also add a touch of saffron and sugar with the mixture.
Step 04
Blend the mixture until you reach the desired consistency. Pour into a jug and chill before serving.
